Afrofest

Afrofest is happening this weekend (July 11th & July 12th) at Queen’s Park from noon to 10:30 pm. Presented by Music Africa, Afrofest is a celebration of African music and culture. Afrofest is a multi-focus event of song, dance, theatre, food, a marketplace, and activities for youth and children. It will feature traditional and contemporary styles of music by top international touring acts and dozens of African performing groups from across Canada. This is a FREE event so come on out and show your support!

African guitar sensation Vieux Farka Touré, son of the famed Ali Farka Touré will be headlining the Afrofest Official Launch Party tonight(July 10th) at 9:00pm at the Phoenix Concert Theatre, 410 Sherbourne St. Advance Tickets are $25 and are available at Soundscapes, 572 College St., Toronto.
